Do you remember your best defeats,
my dear, old pessimist?
Your tears on my sheets
are still cold and wet.
Your bruises still burning
Swollen reminders of the eternal hardship and pain you bear
Since your birth I Haven’t done anything but water the roots of my death
You said:
''I was born here, but never meant to die here''
You've waited all this time, all these fucking years
Naked by darkness blooming inside me
This whole life lying to yourself.
Time's just the highest price you must pay.
Don't be afraid of pain.
Don't be afraid of regret.
Don't be afraid to die
Don't be afraid to love
Don’t be afraid to shine
Don’t be afraid of yourself
As if it was the hymn of the lost ,
as if it was the anathema of the second placed,
as if it was the dirge of us all
as if it was the end of the dawn
read out this text that I wrote for you.
It's Just a letter to myself.
A letter to myself.
A letter to myself.

Cannot pick a favorite track, they're all up there in the excellence realm. Thank you guys for this album, I haven't been this emotionally touched by a punk/indie/emo record since Something To Write Home About. Also digging the wonderful lyrics. Maybe the singer can still be a writer, after all :) 自決 9 6
